I know it's a tad off topic, but keep your eyes peeled Thursday - it's Genetics Day on the Hill in Washington. The event is being organized by the Genetic Alliance (www.geneticalliance.org). Unfortunately, I won't be there. I've got to be a guest of the NIH four times in the next year, which is taking a big bite out of my vacation days. But, several of my HPS friends will be there lobbying for increased funding for genetics research and an expansion of the NIH budget.
